Settling into Life on The Road

After a more relaxing morning - a leisurely buffet breakfast, followed by quick showers, we were back on the road & felt a sense of relief to be away from the outskirts of Paris... Today's journey has been more enjoyable, not so far & seeing the mountains (volcanos) of the Auvergne just makes us feel good! The temperature got up to 19 degrees, while driving through Clermont Ferrand & we were able to have a look at Moulin, a large town near to last night's hotel.

 We are now in a nice hotel in the heart of Le Puy en Velay - such a novelty for us to be in the middle of a city! We're staying for 2 nights, so are looking forward to some sightseeing tomorrow...

Some of you know about my fight with Graves Disease, an auto immune system disorder, which causes an overactive thyroid. Since I was diagnosed 7 years ago, I have made it my business to know everything I possibly could about the condition & this has probably saved my life. Our Neighbours

The ladies next door have been giving birth in the field. Their babies are like any other babies - they sleep, they feed, they follow their mums everywhere, they run around, then fall asleep again.  These little beauties are completely unaware of their fate... But we know... And this is one thing which makes living here difficult. How can people eat other beings without feeling terrible?     It just doesn't make sense. Nettles

Our garden yesterday.
